Questions in the topic
Are BIBS baby bottles BPA-Free?
Yes, all BIBS bottles are 100% BPA-free.
BPA (Bisphenol A) is a chemical that has been banned in many baby products due to safety concerns.
Our Glass Baby Bottle naturally does not contain BPA, as BPA is only found in certain plastics. Our Baby Bottle, made from polypropylene (PP), is also completely free from BPA, BPS, and PVC.
Additionally, the PP components used in all our bottles - such as caps, milk lock, and other accessories, are also 100% BPA-Free.
Can all babies be swaddled?
Not all babies like to be swaddled. Some seem to find swaddles restrictive and will try to fight their way out. If your baby is always trying to wriggle out of the swaddle, or cry when being swaddled you should stop swaddling. There’s no need to force your baby into a swaddle if he or she doesn’t like it.
Can I change the wrong contact information?
If you have typed in wrong information regarding the shipment information reach out to our customer service at care@bibsworld.com as fast as possible
Can I freeze the pacifiers when my baby is teething?
We would advise you not to freeze your pacifiers with or without water inside for two reasons:
• Natural rubber latex nipples are not intended for that kind of use. Therefore, we cannot ensure that the material or the material properties stay the same after such treatment.
• You should always avoid skin contact with frozen objects. Direct skin contact and even indirect skin contact with ice can cause skin injuries and frostbite.
Can I heat the baby bottle in an electric bottle heater?
We do not recommend using an electric heater when heating the glass bottle. The bottle does not break but it may affect the print on the outside of the glass.
Can I heat the baby bottle in the microwave?
Our glass bottle can withstand microwave heating. The plastic parts and bottle nipples cannot! However, when microwave heating milk can so-called localized overheating occur. Always mix/stir the heated milk and check milk temperature before feeding the child!
Can I make changes to my order?
It is unfortunately not possible to change your order after you have placed it. Since we're working to deliver your order as fast as possible, we start the shipping process as soon as we receive the information about your order placement.
Can I put my pacifiers in the dishwasher?
The pacifiers should not be cleaned in the dishwasher as this may damage the material. Furthermore, most dishwashers do not reach temperatures high enough to sufficiently sterilize the pacifiers.
Can I use UV, microwave, or other sterilizers for my BIBS?
We advise you not to use UV sterilizers for your latex pacifiers, as latex is a natural material and consequently undergoes a natural aging process, which can be influenced by external forces such as UV light. Therefore, never use a UV sterilizer for our BIBS latex pacifiers as it will damage the material. Regarding electric steam sterilizers we have not tested our pacifiers in all these different devices and cannot guarantee that the latex will not break due to the high temperatures. Therefore, we cannot recommend these for sterilization. Concerning microwave sterilization be aware that latex will break down if the temperature exceed 100°C. Silicone endure higher temperatures that latex, however our general recommendations are that to use microwave sterilizations you must check the manufacturer’s instructions in relation to heat and watts, to make sure the temperature does not exceed 100°C. In most microwaves the pacifiers must be heated for a maximum of 60 seconds at max. 800W. Otherwise temperatures will exceed 100°C. Remember to put the pacifiers in water in a sterilization box made for the purpose. Never place the pacifiers in the microwave without! Read more about how to sterilize your BIBS pacifiers >>
Do BIBS bottles break or scratch?
Our bottles are made from two high-quality and durable materials: borosilicate glass or BPA-free PP.
Borosilicate glass is much sturdier than regular glass, offering excellent scratch, stain, and shatter resistance, making it an ideal long-lasting option. However, like all glass, it can still break if subjected to significant force.
BPA-free PP is a lightweight plastic that can withstand most bumps associated with everyday use. That said, PP is softer than glass or thicker materials, making it slightly more prone to minor scratches from regular handling or contact with rough surfaces.
To minimize wear and tear and prevent damage, we recommend using soft cleaning tools, avoiding harsh chemicals, storing the bottle away from sharp objects, and always handling with care.

How do I use a baby bottle?
Getting started with bottle feeding can feel like a big step, whether you're introducing a bottle for the first time or making it part of your daily routine. The goal is to create a comfortable and healthy feeding experience for your baby.
Many parents follow the paced bottle feeding method because it helps regulate milk flow, supports natural feeding cues, and mimics breastfeeding. It can also aid digestion and reduce the risk of overfeeding.

How long can I use a pacifier?
It depends on how often it is in use, but we recommend a replacement every 4-6 weeks. Keep an eye out for any changes in the surface, changes in size and shape, or rupture in the material and replace the pacifier if you notice any differences. When your baby has teeth, make sure to pull the nipple in all directions before use and replace the pacifier at the first sign of damage or weakness. Do not use a pacifier that shows any changes in color or other irregularities. Because it is natural rubber latex, the nipple may expand over time. Is swaddling safe?
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) says that swaddling can encourage newborns to sleep better — if it’s done correctly and practiced in accordance with other safe sleep guidelines. Although swaddling comes with many great benefits, you need to make sure you're doing it right to avoid danger or discomfort for your baby. Follow these safety tips:
• The swaddle should be snug, but not too tight. You should be able to place two to three fingers between your baby’s chest and the blanket, and the blanket should be loose around the hips so the baby can move its legs freely. Swaddling your baby too tightly may affect his or her mobility and development.
• Also, the swaddle should not be too loose, so it unwraps during sleep and ends up cover the baby’s face.
• Always lay your baby down on his or her back after swaddling.
• Stop swaddling as soon as your baby can roll over on its own.
• Never overdress your baby underneath the swaddle since it can lead to overheating.

Should the bottle nipple be replaced?
Yes, just like with our pacifiers, we recommend replacing bottle nipples regularly to ensure safety and hygiene. For silicone bottle nipples, we suggest a replacement every 8-12 weeks, or sooner if you notice visible signs of damage. For latex bottle nipples, replacement is recommended every 4-8 weeks to prevent degradation and maintain safety. Keep an eye out for any changes in the surface, size, shape, or any ruptures in the material, and replace the bottle nipple immediately if you notice differences. Natural rubber latex, being a natural material, is particularly sensitive to sunlight, high temperatures, and moisture, which can accelerate its aging process. These factors may cause the material to become brittle or sticky over time. If you observe such changes, the bottle nipple should be replaced promptly.

There is water inside the nipple after cleaning?
After cleaning it is not unusual that water remains in the nipple. This is due to the fact that all our pacifier nipples are equipped with a valve, letting out air when the baby closes down on the nipple. This ventilation system causes the air from inside the nipple to be pushed out through the valve thereby flattening the nipple to shape naturally after the baby's oral cavity. The valve is also the reason why water can be present inside the nipple after cleaning and sterilization. If this is the case, simply just squeeze the nipple flat to press out the excess water. If water drops remain in the nipple, just let the pacifier air-dry.
What does "anti-colic" mean?
"Anti-colic" refers to bottle features that help reduce the amount of air a baby swallows while feeding. Swallowed air can lead to gas, discomfort, and excessive crying—commonly known as colic.
While all newborns cry sometimes, colic is typically diagnosed when a baby cries for more than 3 hours a day, at least 3 days a week, for at least one week. It affects about 1 in 5 babies. The exact cause is unknown, but some experts believe it may be linked to digestion issues or a sensitivity to something in the baby’s formula or breastmilk. One way to help reduce colic is to minimize the amount of air your baby swallows while feeding.
All BIBS Baby Bottles include an anti-colic slit in the nipple that helps control milk flow and prevent bubbles from forming in the milk. This creates a smoother feeding experience with less air intake, helping minimize discomfort and colic—so your baby can feed more comfortably.

Why do bottles sometimes deform?
Plastic bottles can deform due to changes in heat and air pressure. When hot liquid is poured into the bottle, the air inside heats up and expands. If the bottle is closed or covered while the air is still warm, an airtight seal forms. As the bottle cools, the air inside contracts, creating a vacuum that can cause the bottle to collapse or deform, especially if it’s made of softer plastic like PP (polypropylene).
This is a natural physical reaction, not a defect. To prevent this, never close the bottle with a cap or place it in a sealed container while it is being heated or still warm, and always allow it to cool down fully before sealing it with a lid.
Why does the pacifier make a sound when in use?
Sometimes, when water remains in the nipple after sterilization it can cause a sound when the pacifier is used by your baby. There is no harm in a little water inside the nipple.
Why is my latex pacifier getting sticky on the surface?
Natural rubber latex is a natural material and is affected by sunlight, high temperatures, and moisture which accelerates the aging process of the latex material. Therefore, the material changes its properties and can become brittle or sticky. Whenever you experience a change in the material, the pacifier must be replaced.
