How do I use a baby bottle?
How do I use a baby bottle?
Many parents follow the paced bottle feeding method because it helps regulate milk flow, supports natural feeding cues, and mimics breastfeeding. It can also aid digestion and reduce the risk of overfeeding. Learn more about paced bottle feeding and how it works here.

What does "anti-colic" mean?
What does "anti-colic" mean?
"Anti-colic" refers to bottle features that help reduce the amount of air a baby swallows while feeding. Swallowed air can lead to gas, discomfort, and excessive crying - commonly known as colic. While all newborns cry sometimes, colic is typically diagnosed when a baby cries for more than 3 hours a day, at least 3 days a week, for at least one week. It affects about 1 in 5 babies. The exact cause is unknown, but some experts believe it may be linked to digestion issues or a sensitivity to something in the baby’s formula or breastmilk. One way to help reduce colic is to minimize the amount of air your baby swallows while feeding. All BIBS Baby Bottles include an anti-colic slit in the nipple that helps control milk flow and prevent bubbles from forming in the milk. This creates a smoother feeding experience with less air intake, helping minimize discomfort and colic - so your baby can feed more comfortably.
Do BIBS bottles break or scratch?
Do BIBS bottles break or scratch?
Our bottles are made from two high-quality and durable materials: borosilicate glass or BPA-free PP. Borosilicate glass is much sturdier than regular glass, offering excellent scratch, stain, and shatter resistance, making it an ideal long-lasting option. However, like all glass, it can still break if subjected to significant force. BPA-free PP is a lightweight plastic that can withstand most bumps associated with everyday use. That said, PP is softer than glass or thicker materials, making it slightly more prone to minor scratches from regular handling or contact with rough surfaces. To minimize wear and tear and prevent damage, we recommend using soft cleaning tools, avoiding harsh chemicals, storing the bottle away from sharp objects, and always handling with care.
Why do bottles sometimes deform?
Why do bottles sometimes deform?
Plastic bottles can deform due to changes in heat and air pressure. When hot liquid is poured into the bottle, the air inside heats up and expands. If the bottle is closed or covered while the air is still warm, an airtight seal forms. As the bottle cools, the air inside contracts, creating a vacuum that can cause the bottle to collapse or deform, especially if it’s made of softer plastic like PP (polypropylene). This is a natural physical reaction, not a defect. To prevent this, never close the bottle with a cap or place it in a sealed container while it is being heated or still warm, and always allow it to cool down fully before sealing it with a lid.
Plastic baby bottles designed for everyday ease
BIBS plastic baby bottles are created to make daily feeding simple, safe, and beautiful. With a focus on function and comfort, our bottles are made for families who want lightweight, durable feeding tools without compromising on safety or style.
Crafted with clean materials and a Scandinavian design ethos, these bottles are ideal for home, daycare, or on-the-go use. Whether you're introducing a bottle for the first time or looking for a reliable feeding option, BIBS plastic baby bottles offer both practicality and peace of mind.
Why choose plastic baby bottles from BIBS
BIBS plastic baby bottles are made from premium food-grade polypropylene (PP). This material is both lightweight and robust, making it ideal for daily use. PP plastic is 100 percent free from BPA, PVC, and phthalates, ensuring that your baby feeds from a bottle that is safe and trusted.
Because plastic is lightweight and shatterproof, it is especially practical for parents of younger babies or for use while traveling. These bottles are also more resistant to drops and tumbles, making them a smart choice for busy routines.
Each BIBS plastic baby bottle comes with a natural rubber latex nipple, carefully shaped to support natural latch and sucking reflex. The soft, skin-like material is designed to feel familiar and comforting for your baby.
A thoughtful and functional design
Our plastic bottles are designed with both parents and babies in mind. The wide neck makes them easy to fill and clean, while the included milk lock and cap help prevent spills during transport. The screwcap and other components are made from high-quality, food-safe materials that ensure safety without sacrificing design.
Each bottle features BIBS' minimalist Scandinavian style, available in a range of soft, natural tones that complement other baby essentials. Whether you prefer classic neutrals or modern muted hues, BIBS plastic baby bottles bring visual harmony to your everyday routine.
The bottle is compatible with all BIBS nipples, so you can adjust the flow stage as your baby grows. You can also switch to a silicone nipple if preferred, using the same bottle base and cap system.
Caring for your plastic baby bottles
Plastic bottles are easy to maintain and clean. We recommend sterilizing all parts before first use by placing them in boiling water for five minutes. Afterward, wash bottles with warm soapy water or place them on the top rack of the dishwasher. Avoid using harsh cleaning agents or UV sterilizers that may damage the plastic.
To preserve the quality of the latex nipple, hand washing is recommended. Always inspect both the bottle and nipple before each use and replace any parts that show signs of wear or damage.
For hygiene and safety, the latex nipple should be replaced regularly, typically every four to six weeks, depending on use.
